The current search in the clip library often returns unrelated clips because it matches individual words, letters, game names, categories, and other metadata. This makes it difficult to find a specific clip when you already know its exact title.
Suggested improvements:
-Add an Exact Match option that only returns clips whose title exactly matches the search query.
-Support quotation marks (“example clip name”) to search for an exact phrase.
-Add search operators/filters such as:
-title: to search only clip titles.
-game: to search within a specific game.
-tag: or category: for specific metadata.
-Exclusion operators such as -valorant to remove results.
-Allow users to choose which fields are searched (title, game, category, description, etc.).
-Add a toggle between Broad Search and Strict Search.
Example:
Searching for “funny clutch 1” should prioritize clips with that exact title instead of returning every clip containing “funny”, “clutch”, or “1” somewhere in its metadata.
This would make managing large clip libraries much faster and more accurate.
