Slow-motion when viewing + editing recordings#38

D

It is helpful to view videos in slow motion for fast-paced games, and an option for slow-motion would help with reviewing clips.

I agree very much. Here’s another idea: This is probably way out of the scope for Medal, but… what if we could have optical flow frame interpolation for slow motion? THAT would make Medal the TOP clipping software of all time.

It would be very helpful to review clips frame by frame (left & right arrow keys)

I’ve set this as researching as I’d like to know more about what you all would like.

Currently we have playback speed as an option in our video player, you can see it on medal.tv. If you would like more slow-motion features like actual slow-mo filters during editing, that is something else that we are looking into!

Being able to change playback speed to faster or slower while in “edit your clip” would be golden

I think having an option to slide the amount of time the slow motion is in your edits would be amazing.

@Frodetheekanin That’s a great idea! For it to be even better, we could be able to simply split a video into parts while editing. Let’s say my cursor is at 5 seconds, I want to add a split point there, and another at 10 seconds. Then I get that 5 to 10 seconds part and speed it up, and the rest of the video is normal. It’s nice to have this when you have a nice but long clip, with some irrelevant moments in it.

Just checked this seems to be the post #220 already. Great to know it’s being looked into!
