Hi im here with another idea that could massively improve the editing experience is adding more advanced (but still intuitive) editor controls and shortcuts.
For example, basic keyboard shortcuts would speed things up a lot:
Pressing C to cut/split a clip at the current playhead position
A really useful visual feature would be the ability to preview clips with and without filters:
A toggle button under the video output to quickly disable/enable all filters
Or even a side-by-side preview (left = with filters, right = without) to clearly see the difference and editing progress
Timeline interaction could also be more flexible:
Selecting multiple elements by holding Ctrl + left click (similar to how it works in file explorers)
This would make it much easier to move, delete, or modify multiple clips/transitions at once
For transitions specifically:
Right-click on a transition → quick option to delete it
Left-click on a transition → opens its settings panel
Left-click hold a transition → moving it on the clips
Visual indicators on the timeline showing kills, deaths or even a area of that event, like seeing enemy to killing it marked with some color to standout on timeline
Overall, these kinds of editor improvements would make the workflow much faster, more intuitive, and closer to what people expect from more advanced editing tools, while still keeping it simple enough for casual users.
