Allow the option to save the original clip.#2405

When I save a clip (for me 7.5 min), allow me to set it up so that the original file is kept, and any edits I make are saved as a new video. Leave the old clip untouched, and upload the edit as if it’s a new video file.

It shouldn’t automatically delete/replace any files after I’m done rendering my edited clip unless I tell it to.

Agreed. This is the only option i want. When we make edits, the editor should ask us if we want to export a new video, different from the original one being edited. The original stays in its current format, and a new video is born. This should be an option when we hit “export” for example. “Would you like to override your current video, or make a new video” something like that.
