change app language#2023

Hi!
I really like Medal but the french translation of the android app isn’t great. I would like to be able to set the app language to english again (it changed automatically with one of the last update).

At least, i didn’t find the option to change the language.
Could you implement that?

Hi, you can go to the bottom left of the settings side bar all the way at the bottom.

We would like to improve any languages we offer if they aren’t good enough. How can we improve?

As for what isn’t great about the french translation, it is mainly small things. For instance, not everything is translated on the home screen, you’ve got “Publications” which is French and next to it “clips you are in” and further “unlisted”. There is the button to “connect with friends”.
So the translation isn’t complete.

There are also a few mistakes. If i look at the profile of a friends and he played a game 45 minutes ago the app tells me he played “il y a 45 mois” which is “45 months ago”. The correct translation would be “il y a 45 minutes”

I have reviewed the points you mentioned about French translation.

Missing translations will come up with the latest update of the translations (translations were not 100% done).

About your issue with “il y a 45 mois”, I have fixed all the existing problems with duration translations. It should appear fixed within the new translation update.

You mentioned there were “a few” mistakes. However, you seem to have mentioned only one. If you noticed any other mistake, please forward them to us so we can fix them in order to ensure Medal is translated as good as possible!

Hi, I cant change language and the language I have right now is something from arabia I dont know how to do it pls help

What language are you looking to change to? Settings Cog, it’s on the very very bottom

I want to change to english and I have arabic right now

Okay, click the settings cog in the bottom right. Then scroll down on the sidebar. Just above the social icons you can change the language

Im on mobile

Mobile language is based on your phones language as far as I know

How do I change that?

Depends on your phone. Is your whole phone not in Arabic?

No swedish and english

I had same problem but just go to your iphone settings and search medal and change language

On Android, language per app is only supported by Android 13 and above. If you’re on Android 13 or later:

1. Open the Medal app.
2. Go to your profile tab.
3. Click the settings button in the top-right of your screen.
4. Click “Change Language”.
